Getting around

Getting around the city

Central Seville is flat and walkable. For longer distances, or to escape the summer heat, there are buses, a tram, bikes and taxis.

🚌 Bus and tram (Tussam)

City buses and the tram are run by the same company and cost the same.

The tram (Metrocentro) runs from Plaza Nueva to Puerta de Jerez, Prado de San Sebastián, San Bernardo and Nervión. Handy for crossing the centre out of the heat.

🚇 Metro

A single line linking the centre (Puerta de Jerez, Prado, San Bernardo) with residential areas and nearby towns. Of little use to visitors. Single tickets cost €1.35–1.80 depending on distance, or €4.50 for a day pass.

🚲 Cycling

Seville is flat and has over 180 km of cycle lanes, making it one of Spain's best cities for cycling. Use Sevici, the public bike scheme, with a short-term pass, or rent a bike from any shop in the centre.

🚕 Taxis and ride-hailing

Taxis are white with a yellow stripe and use a meter. A trip within the centre costs about €6–10. Uber, Cabify and Bolt also operate.

⚠️ During Holy Week the centre is closed to traffic and buses are diverted. That week, get around on foot and check diversions in the Tussam app.
💡 GuideMapp tip: most visitors don't need a tourist card: walking plus the odd €1.40 ticket is enough. It only pays off if you'll take the bus five or more times a day.
